Seven years ago, The Up North Big Band and The Blissfest Music Organization partnered to present the Saturday Night Swing Dance Series.
The Up North Big Band provides complimentary dance lessons prior to each scheduled dance. Basic swing, foxtrot, waltz and latin are taught on a rotating basis. Dancers will learn enough during one lesson to participate in the evening's event.

Swing dances are held the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

Dance lessons start at 6:45pm

The Up North Big Band plays from 7:30pm - 10:30pm.

Patrons are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the Rustic Ballroom.

Bottled water is sold on site and the Junction Inn (next door) has carryout food and beverages as does the Walloon Lake Village Market just up the road.
The Rustic Ballroom features over 3,000 square feet of unobstructed suspended hardwood dance floor housed in a genuine log cabin. The ballroom is a landmark historic structure in the Village of Walloon Lake and is the site of many happy memories for skaters and dancers alike. The Rustic Ballroom is a smoke free environment and good clean fun for dancers of all ages and abilities.
